Central Australian pastoralists are struggling to find trucks to transport cattle
Alice Springs,Australia -ABC Online -7 April 2008: -- The prolonged dry has forced pastoralists to bring their mustering schedules forward by at least six months... Ben Hayes, from Undoolya Station near Alice Springs, says that it's difficult to find trucks to cart cattle to market or greener pastures... "With a bit of rain over in Queensland, the Queenslanders are looking for a few cattle" ... "And also, cattle are moving everywhere with the Barkly being dry, so that also doesn't help."...
