Manoj -Feb 07, 2006: -- A good chunk of the prized deals from ABN Amro and General Motors are coming its way, but India's famed and flourishing information technology and business process outsourcing industry is facing a threat from emerging markets as higher cost of sourcing work from India, fuelled mainly by rising labour costs, force customers in the West to look to countries such as China for their outsourcing needs... Till a few years ago, very few people were considering China as a destination for outsourcing work. But now, they have started to think of China as an alternative to India both in terms of cost benefits as well as a risk management strategy, according to the London-based law firm Simmons & Simmons...
