Blocking - R. Dominicana - Truckers block transit, demand payment from authorities
Santo Domingo,Dominican Republic -Dominican Today -Feb, 2, 2006: -- Truckers once again blocked transit, this time demanding payment of debts... This time, the conflict is with the National Price Stabilizing Institute (INESPRE)... The truckers obstructed the Luperon Avenue yesterday, which is a pathway utilized by most of the freight transportation vehicles coming out of the Haina port... INESPRE director, Jose Francisco Peña Guava, received a commission representing the truckers, explaining to them that the entity is not able to make payment at this time, due to financial difficulties that it faces... After the meeting with Peña, protestors decided to remove their trucks and transit resumed its normal pace...
