USA -The Streeet, by TSC and IRIS Staff -2 Feb 2006: -- Oshkosh Truck's first-quarter profit rose 31% from a year ago, thanks to its defense segment... The company earned $53.07 million, or 72 cents a share, in the quarter, compared with $40.57 million, or 56 cents a share, a year ago. This was above the company's recent estimates of 50 cents to 55 cents a share. Analysts surveyed by Thomson First Call were expecting earnings of 54 cents a share...
