USA - Forbes -26 Jan 2006: -- Dear Mark, You've worked hard on "the Way Forward" ... Nice job. You've talked the talk. Now you have to walk the walk.... I'm willing to help with some advice. I've been at this far longer than you have, and as I noted before, I learned the business at the feet of the likes of Ernie Breech, Bob McNamara and Lee Iacocca. These were the giants in the industry, and I think they top any of your mentors... First, you are planning to build a brand-new plant and a brand-new small car in it. Don't do it! You think if you do everything new, you will have the latest money-saving technology. Wrong! ... This is the most expensive way to do it. Believe me, I've seen it done that way too many times. I remember Smart from DaimlerChrysler; I remember Saturn. I even remember the Chevy Vega at Lordstown and the Blue Collar Blues...
