Safely - Russia - Trucks reach Petropavlovsk-Kamchatsky after 12 days en route
PETROPAVLOVSK-KAMCHATSKY,Russia -Itar/Tass -Jan 29 2006: -- A truck convoy that was trapped in snow captivity near Gorelyi Volcano in Kamchatka for several days has safely arrived in Petropavlovsk-Kamchatsky. All the 18 crewmen are alive and in good health... Mechanized vehicles cleaned the road to the Vilyuchinsky mountain pass on Saturday enabling the convoy to move forward... Prosecutors are looking into the incident. Managers who dispatched the trucks on a trip across impassable roads despite a storm warning may face responsibility for negligence and violation of labour protection rules...
