* Cummins records record profits
Indiana,USA -IndyStar -January 30, 2006: Southern Indiana's Cummins Inc. reported today that the fourth quarter was its most profitable ever... For all of 2005, Cummins reported profits as measured by earnings before interest and taxes (EBIT) of $907 million, a 67 percent increase from 2004. Sales increased 18 percent to $9.92 billion, from $8.44 billion in 2004, the company said in a news release...
* Study finds toxic threat in auto interiors
WASHINGTON,DC,USA -The Detroit News, by Jeff Plungis -Jan 30, 2006: Chemical industry disputes report on dangers; Volvo cited as leader in interior air quality.... A report by an Ann Arbor environmental group that says toxic chemicals are present in automobile interiors at levels five to 10 times higher than those found in homes and offices has sparked protests from the chemical industry and interest from automakers... The report, "Toxic at Any Speed," was released by the Ecology Center on Jan. 11, amid the din of the North American International Auto Show in Detroit...
* Changes in car rental industry benefit Enterprise

Recent industry changes have put Enterprise in the driver's seat. The trade publication Auto Rental News reported this week that for the first time, off-airport auto rentals account for more revenue than airport rentals industrywide...
