Profits - USA - Paccar profit soars but falls short of Street view
New York,NY,USA -AP -Jan 31, 2006: -- Heavy-duty truck maker Paccar Inc. on Tuesday posted a 30 percent jump in fourth-quarter profit and forecast higher U.S. and Canadian sales this year for its Kenworth and Peterbilt brands... Paccar shares fell $4.03, or 5.4 percent, to $70 in midday trading on the Nasdaq Stock Market... Net income at the Bellevue, Wash.-based company rose to $312.9 million, or $1.83 a share, in the quarter, compared with $241.4 million, or $1.38 a share, a year earlier...
