Always Running - USA - Sleeping drivers may someday turn off trucks
Akron,OH,USA -Akron Beacon Journal/AP -Jan. 30, 2006: -- Many truck drivers run their engines all night when they sleep in their rigs to heat or cool their cabs and run appliances... The practice burns fuel, pollutes the air and disturbs other drivers... The state is using $400,000 in federal grants to help companies install technology at truck stops that would enable drivers to heat or cool their cabs without running their engines...
