Recall - Canada - Some GM trucks face recall for defective hoses
Montreal,Quebec,Canada -Montreal Gazette, by TONY COTE -Nov 07, 2005: -- Misaligned steering hoses in a half-dozen General Motors-built trucks and school buses, all with 8.1-litre engines and Hydromax braking systems, could cause steering problems and possible brake failure... The hoses could contact the intermediate steering shaft and wear through, allowing hydraulic fluid to leak. Increased effort may be required for steering and braking, increasing the risk of a crash... If a hose fails, the driver will see the brake warning light come on and hear a warning tone as well as noise from the power steering pump...
