Trial units of the models to be launched in September are already being tested at the company's Jamshedpur facilities

Pune,India -The Wall Streety Journal/LiveMint, by Sudha Menon -11 April 2008: -- India’s largest lorry maker, Tata Motors Ltd, will soon try making entry into the global market for goods vehicles, with a line-up of about eight premium trucks developed at its Jamshedpur manufacturing facilities... The company plans to launch three models of its world truck this fiscal beginning September, and follow them up with the remaining models in phases, said a senior company official... The production of the trucks—that would range between medium and heavy goods vehicles—is likely to begin almost simultaneously in India and at the Tata Daewoo Commercial Vehicle Co. Ltd’s plant in Korea, said the executive, who declined to be named as he is not authorized to talk to the media...

New Delhi,India -The Financial Express/IBEF Todays News -April 10, 2008: -- India's top vehicle maker, Tata Motors Ltd, plans to make trucks and buses in South Africa, as it seeks to tap more world markets including for its low-cost Nano car, a senior executive said on Wednesday... Tata, India's top bus and truck maker, plans to set up a manufacturing facility in Rosslyn in South Africa, Managing Director Ravi Kant said at the India-Africa Summit... The plan for the facility, which Tata Motors acquired from Nissan Motor in 2006, was complete and the project would commence shortly, Kant said...
