* India - Truck makers gearing up for price increase
Mumbai,India -Moneycontrol.com -20 Sept 2007: -- Commercial vehicles are moving towards higher prices. That’s because from the first of October new safety features will become mandatory for certain trucks and buses produced from that date... Key among them is anti-lock braking system or abs, a feature that lets a driver brake and steer simultaneously. Abs, which is mainly seen in premium passenger cars, will be mandatory for multi-axle tractor trailers, double decker transport vehicles, buses with all-India tourist permits and buses plying in hilly areas...
