Thirty-one truckies have been arrested in a police crackdown on drivers trying to bring drugs into Queensland
Queensland,Australia -The Sunshine Coast Daily -19 September 2007: -- ... Drugs including cannabis and amphetamines have been seized, as well as stolen property, during 10 operations over the last six months targeting truck drivers in the state’s south... “The use of drugs in the trucking industry puts drivers and everyone else on the road in danger,” Queensland Police Minister Judy Spence said today... Since these operations commenced this year, drugs have been located in 31 vehicles across the region, with 16 drivers caught in the operations conducted within the Warwick district alone......
