Texarkana,ASRK,USA -The Cabin Net -8 Jan 2006: -- Southern Refrigerated Transport says it is adding 250 employees this month, including about 50 local hires... The company has acquired some of the assets of Chattanooga, Tenn.-based Covenant Transports, and most of the new employees will be drivers who move their base of operations to Texarkana but live elsewhere, said Justin Smith, SRT director of operations... Tony Smith, SRT founder and president, said about 45 to 50 of the new jobs should be created locally. Those will be in marketing, customer service, dispatch, maintenance, accounting, human resources and risk management...
