* USA - Big Rigs Banned From Fast Lane, Accidents Decrease
Forth Worth,TX,USA -Truck Net -Jan 2007: -- It started out as a test run on a small stretch of I-30 in Tarrant County and parts of I-20 in Dallas... After 14 months of testing, the results are in. Now it appears big-rig trucks will be permanently banned from the far left lane along most North Texas' interstates... According to the North Central Texas Council of Governments, traffic accidents fell 65 percent along I-20 and 10 percent along I-30. This is all because big-rig trucks were banned from traveling in the far left lane...
