* New European tire label

The new label will provide a clear and objective information on three characteristics Tire rolling resistance, wet braking and noise... The first criterion, the rolling resistance is rated on a scale from A to G. A being the best score, G the least. Between A and G, the rolling resistance differs from 15% for truck tires... Second criterion: the braking distance on wet roads. In practice, the discretion given to this criterion goes from A to F, tires with a score less than F can no longer be sold at 1 November 2014... Third criterion: the noise level. The measured value is displayed in decibels and appreciation takes the form of three waves. The less yad waves blackened more evaluation is good. A tire with two waves displays three decibels louder that a tire with a single wave... But at least one criterion strongly influences the total cost of ownership: the life of the tire, or the mileage that it can go. It 's the main criterion will therefore trading outside the label ... and price...
