* Illinois - Auto loans on the rise as delinquencies drop
Schaumberg,ILL,USA -The Detroit News, by Karl Henkel -August 8, 2012: -- Auto loans rose and delinquencies and automotive repossessions fell during the second quarter, according to data from Experian Automotive, a consumer and business credit reporting firm... The total amount of U.S. auto loans jumped 5.5 percent to $682 billion during the second quarter, though the balance of those loans remained lower than the same quarter in 2007, prior to the start of the recession... The 30-day delinquency rate during the second quarter was 2.52 percent, down from 2.59 percent during the same quarter a year ago, and the 60-day delinquency rate was 0.58 percent, down from 0.60 percent... Vehicle repossessions dropped 28 percent year-over-year...
