* Turkey - New Ford Cargo is on the way. The first product of Ford’s global Cargo growth strategy 

Inönü,Malatya,Turkey -Fleet Transport -8 August 2012: -- Ford is preparing to launch its new Cargo model 1846T which will be the first product of brand’s One Ford Strategy. To become a more competitive player in markets with its Ford Cargo brand also, Ford is implementing its global truck growth strategy in line with its “One Ford” vision. Ford Cargo’s new model 1846T has been improved to compete in the global markets with its universal capabilities which will satisfy all the expectations of drivers... * China - Ford Affiliate Buys China Heavy-Truck Maker

Shanghai,SH,China -The WSJ, by Rose Yu -August 8, 2012: -- China’s Jiangling Motors Corp., which is 30%-owned by Ford Motor Co., will acquire Taiyuan Changan Heavy Truck Co., marking the U.S. car maker’s first entry into the world’s largest heavy-truck market... Ford said Wednesday its Chinese affiliate will acquire the local heavy truck maker from China Changan Automobile Group and China South Industries Group Corp... Ford didn’t disclose the financial terms of the deal, but a notice dated July 6 on the Chongqing United Assets and Equity Exchange, a local exchange for trading non-listed firms, showed that Taiyuan Changan’s parent companies are selling the firm for 270 million yuan ($42 million)...

* China - Isuzu, Jiangling to Set up Truck, Engine JVs in Jiangxi 
Jiangxi,China -Reuters/JXCN CN -Aug 7, 2012: -- Japan's Isuzu Motors said on Tuesday it has agreed with China's Jiangling Motors Corp to set up two new joint ventures in China to produce and sell small pickup trucks and engines locally... The joint ventures, which will be located in Jiangxi province, are set to start production in 2014. One of them will be producing trucks and aims to manufacture and sell 100,000 vehicles annually, while the other will be producing engines, Isuzu said in a statement... Isuzu did not give any details on how much it or Jiangling will invest in the ventures...


* Australia - DAF XF105 wins prestigious award

Sydney,NSW,Australia -HGV Ireland -August 7, 2012: -- The DAF XF105 has won the Design Award in the category Automotive and Transport at the Australian International Design Awards (AIDA) 2012 gala in Sydney... The jury praised DAF’s top-of-the-range model for its elegant design, ergonomic features and superb comfort... The A IDA Design Awards nominates both national and international designs. This year more than a hundred designs had a chance to be proclaimed as the winner in their industry... The DAF XF105, which is available in Australia since March this year, impressed the jury especially in the field of innovation. It outshone competition from the renowned Range Rover Evoque, Jaguar XFR and Audi Q3...
