* Belgium - The DIV causes a collapse of registrations
Brussels,Belgium -Truck and Business, by Claude Yvens -4 June 2012: -- After a pretty decent April, registrations of trucks have literally collapsed in May: - 32% to holders - 62% in semi-trailers. The cause of this sudden drop is not to find in the real state market (which seems to remain more or less), but in the reform of the DIV to register the vehicles... As a reminder, the new computer application must allow the DIV to meet European requirements, particularly with respect to vehicle emission data but also the expectations of the Regions to develop their mobility taxation. It will also allow to establish a true Crossroads Bank for vehicles, "to ensure full traceability gradually thereof, and to better fight against insurance fraud and failure to submit a technical inspection" ...Labels: trucks' statistics
