* Germany - VW Said to Shake Up Management Ranks to Push Growth Goals
Wolfsburg,Germany -Bloomberg Business, by Chris Reiter and Ola Kinnander -June 1, 2012: -- Volkswagen AG will appoint a new trucks chief, add a top executive to oversee China and replace three members of Audi’s board as part of a management shakeup at Europe’s largest carmaker to push forward with growth plans. In the highest profile change, Scania AB Chief Executive Officer, Leif Oestling, will join VW’s management board to help forge a three-way truckmaking alliance, people familiar with the matter said. Scania and MAN SE, both controlled by VW, surged more than 6 percent on expectations of closer ties...
* Sweden - Scania appoints Lundstedt as CEO

He takes the positions Sept. 1 and succeeds Leif Ostling, who has been appointed member of the board of management at Scania's German owner, Volkswagen AG... Lundstedt, born in 1967, has a Master of Science degree and is currently executive vice president and head of franchise and factory sales at Scania...

New Delhi,India -The Hindustan Times, by Manu P Toms -June 3, 2012: -- After rolling out 5,000 units from its Chakan plant, Mahindra Navistar may start exports to African market by the end of this fiscal year... The company is also entering ambulance van market with rolling out of 6,000 unit this year... MNAL’s truck engine production is also getting into full swing. A top official said a truck maker will soon source Navistar’s 7.2 litre Maxxforce engine for its trucks sold in overseas markets...
* Japan - Isuzu Motors to restart truck production in Russia

Tokyo,Japan -Kyodo/The Mainichi -June 1, 2012: -- Isuzu Motors Ltd. said Thursday it will resume making the Isuzu N Series light-duty truck in Russia in June, with the aim of selling 5,000 annually by 2015... Isuzu had manufactured the truck, known as the Elf in Japan, through April 2011 at a joint venture with Japanese trading house Sojitz Corp. and Russian automaker Sollers in Elabuga, Tatarstan... The leading truck maker had once considered relocating the factory to Vladivostok, but it has decided to resume the production in Ulyanovsk, western Russia, where more demand is expected... Isuzu will hike its equity stake in the joint venture to 45 percent from the current 29 percent and send its officials to enhance the marketing and maintenance service networks, the Japanese truck maker said...
