* France - Renault Group sales in 2011 (without Lada)
Lyon,France -Renault (PR) -17 Jan 2012: -- The Renault group is reporting record sales volumes for 2011, with 2,7 million vehicles sold (+3.6% on 2010). This performance is driven by strong growth outside Europe (+19.6%) and by the Renault brand (+6.8%). The Group's global market share stands on 3.6%. The year 2012 will feature a major product offensive both in Europe and on international markets with the arrival of ZOE, Twizy, Lodgy and New Clio (among others)...

According to national register Renavam, 50,829 MAN trucks were registered in Brazil. This makes MAN the most successful manufacturer of trucks over 5 tons in Brazil for the ninth year in a row with a market share of 29.7%... The registration authority also recorded 11,139 bus chassis for MAN's Volksbus brand. This corresponds to a 32.2% share of the bus market. With a total of almost 62,000 newly registered commercial vehicles, MAN enjoyed an increase of 18.0% compared with 2010... MAN Latin America also exported 9,500 vehicles outside Brazil, a 17.4% rise. Saltillo,Mexico -inautonews, by Daniel -January 13, 2012: -- Chrysler Group will expand its current plant in Saltillo, Mexico, to accommodate the production of the Fiat Ducato commercial van under the Ram brand... The Ram version of the Italian van will be sold in North America from 2013... Although the size of the investment hasn’t yet been made public, it was expected to be about $500 million... Chrysler already has a truck assembly plant, a stamping plant and two engine plants in Saltillo, located about 180 miles southwest of Laredo, Texas. The front-wheel-drive Fiat Ducato commercial van shares its platform with the Peugeot Boxer in Europe... Ram sold only 691 units of the C/V in 2011, while Ford sold 91,305 units of the Econoline van and 31,914 units of the Transit Connect...
* Thailand - New Toyota Plant in
Bangkok,Thailand -Articlesbase -Apr 27, 2007: -- Executives at Toyota Motor's new plant in a Bangkok suburb point out that the factory in Thailand is the first to run on clean natural gas... The factory is equipped with robots and parts movers moving silently on the assembly floors. Toyota's $426 million facility shows that despite the political unrest in Thailand it has not affected global carmakers' positive views of the country... Thailand is renowned worldwide when it comes to the production of one-ton trucks, with projected outputs of 853,000 units for this year alone. The said figure outpaced United States which according to J.D. Power Automotive Forecasting produces only 588,000 units of trucks... Thailand is the second biggest market for trucks since it's a common sight in rural areas where most farm products are produced. The domestic sales for this year are forecast at 510,000 units as compared to the 651,000 units forecast in the United States...
