Beijing,China -Automotive World -October 14, 2011: -- Combined automotive sales in China reached around 1.65 million units in September 2011. Compared with sales figures reported for August this year, last month's numbers were an improvement of 19.2%, the China Association of Automobile Manufacturers (CAAM) said... Sales in September included 1.32 million passenger cars, up 20.5% month-on-month. This figure was up 8.8% compared with passenger car sales in September 2010, Xinhua said... In the first three quarters of this year, automotive sales across all segments rose by 3.6% compared with the January-September 2010 period, up to 13.63 million vehicles. Kuala Lumpur,Malaysia -Dow Jones, by Jason Ng -October 14, 2011: -- Sales of new motor vehicles in Malaysia, Southeast Asia's biggest passenger car market, rose 2.2% in September, the Malaysian Automotive Association said Friday... Sales in September stood at 44,407 units compared with 43,443 units a year earlier, while vehicle production during the month increased 29.5% on year to 44,775 units from 34,586 units, the association said in a statement... For the January-September period, sales declined 0.7% to 450,244 units compared with 453,249 units sold over the same period last year, the association said... Total vehicle production over the nine-month period was 4.8% lower at 416,416 units versus 437,231 units during the same period a year earlier, it added...* Taiwan, China - New car market expands 14.9% in September

Taipei,Taiwan.CH -Automotive World (UK) -October 17, 2011: -- Data compiled by Taiwan's Ministry of Transportation and Communications (MOTC) reveal that new car sales in the country increased 14.9% year-on-year in September. A total of 32,600 new cars were sold last month, and compared with sales in August this year, this figure was up more than 40%... A total of 283,705 cars were sold in Taiwan in the first three quarters of this year, translating into an increase of 20.5% compared with sales in the January-September 2010 period... Toyota led the country's passenger car market last month, accounting for sales of 11,044 units, a sharp increase of 57.6% from a year earlier. Followed by Mitsubishi with 3,976 (+12.2%), while Nissan managed 3,429 units (+105%)...
