Transcore says volume rose 10 percent in September from August
Hummelstown,PENN,USA -The Journal of Commerce, by William B. Cassidy -Oct 17, 2011: -- Spot market volume on TransCore’s network of load boards rose 10 percent in September from August and 47 percent from a year ago, a sign of stronger demand... Higher load volume made September the biggest month for the spot truckload market, TransCore said. The amount of available spot market North American Freight Index up 3.2 percent from August and 45 percent from September 2010... TransCore said the August-to-September volume increase follows normal seasonal spot market patterns. The year-over-year increase signals increased demand... In a recent survey, TransCore Freight Solutions found for-hire truckload carriers increased their revenue and pricing 10 percent in the first half of the year...
