* Sweden - G-Series set to round out Scania range
Stockholm,Sweden -ATN (Australia) -January 15, 2010: -- With a revamped R-Series range already confirmed for Australia in 2010, Swedish truck manufacturer Scania says it will also bring its mid-size G-Series down under this year... Powered by a 13-litre six-cylinder engine featuring Euro 5 compliance, EGR technology and Scania XPI or extra high pressure injection, the G-Series will offer operators a choice of 360hp, 400hp, 440hp and 480hp power ratings... In a boost to both driver comfort and fuel economy, G-Series buyers will have the option of choosing Scania’s Opticruise transmission, which is teamed with a 3.42:1 final drive... The addition is especially useful for highway operators, while drivers will also find additional cab space when comparing the vehicle to Scania’s P-Series...
