A police crackdown on traffic light offenders has paid off, with hundreds of drivers caught
NSW,Australia -ATN -January 15, 2010: -- Almost 400 drivers and 15 pedestrians were busted during Operation Obedience on January 13... The Assistant Commissioner of the South West Metropolitan Region, Stuart Wilkins, says officers covertly and overtly targeted major black-spot intersections and arterial roads... Despite the results, Wilkins says there is room for improvement and has warned motorists thinking of flouting road laws... Problem locations listed by police included Victoria Road, Parramatta Road, the Hume and Old Hume highways, Milperra Road and the Cumberland Highway...
