RULES * USA - EPA Proposing Stricter Limits on Pollution-Forming Ozone
New rules would determine quality of air for at least a decade

EPA standards would limit air ozone to 60 - 70 parts per billion for any 8-hour period, down from 75 ppb... EPA's move ensures state and local governments would face much stricter air quality test in years ahead. Final target adopted to have major implications for regulations that state and local officials must set to meet... Power plants, motor vehicles emit significant pollutants like nitrogen oxides, other chemical compounds forming ozone...
