* Australia - Mack at the 2009 Queensland Truck And Machinery Show



Brisbane,QLD,Australia -Tachoblog -21 May 2009: -- At the recent Queensland Truck And Machinery Show, Mack Trucks won the Outstanding Truck Manufacturer Display... Along with five other winners and all the other exhibitors, Mack were praised by Mr Brett Wright, CEO of the Commercial Vehicle Industry Association (CVIAQ) for their contribution to what was forecast to be the best show in the 41-year history of the event... So, just what is involved in creating the ‘Outstanding Truck Manufacturer Display’? * USA - Caterpillar to Sell Articulated Truck Bare Chassis for Specialty Applications

Peoria,IL,USA -Commercial Truck Trader -May 20, 2009: -- Caterpillar has announced they will offer a family of articulated truck bare chassis to support specialty machines not included in the portfolio of Cat products... According to Caterpillar, sales of the bare chassis without the dump bed will be targeted toward Caterpillar Dealers and original equipment manufactures (OEMs) who specialize in such applications as water trucks, high capacity waste, lube & fuel trucks, etc. Cat Articulated Dump Trucks will continue to be sold through Caterpillar... The articulated truck bare chassis product will be available for Cat Dealer and OEM orders during the second quarter 2009...


* USA - Kenworth Former Assembly Plant of the Year Winner Lauded Again

The plant received the county’s Commitment-to-Compliance Award for five consecutive years of outstanding compliance with the plant’s industrial wastewater discharge permit... * India - Eicher's E2 Plus series of trucks launched in Hyderabad

Hyderabad,Andhra Pradesh,India -Wheels Unplugged -20 May 2009: -- ‘E2 Plus’, a new series of light and medium duty trucks, has been recently launched by Eicher Trucks and Buses at Hyderabad in Andhra Pradesh. The 'E2 Plus' series of trucks are a result of Eicher’s continuous endeavor to improve andupgrade their products so that these products give more value and more benefits to customers and is available in all standard configurations in BS-II and BS-III models; and are built on the value proposition of improved mileage and performance over the current.


* India - New Heavy Duty Trucks in India from Kamaz and Vectra

Hosur,India -Car Trade India, by Satish Kalepu -April 22, 2009: -- Russian commercial vehicle maker Kamaz formed a joint venture with diversified conglomerate and $800 million Vectra group to manufacture heavy duy trucks in India. Vectra currently manufactures Tetra range of trucks in India which are widely used by the defense services in the country. The JV marks Kamaz’ entry in the Indian commercial vehicle market... The joint venture will produce about 5,000 trucks between two years and three years, which will be later increased to about 15,000 trucks. Kamaz Inc holds 51 per cent in the venture while the rest is with the Vectra Group... Tatra Vectra currently manufactures the Hemang dumper targeted at the mining and power projects but is considering bringing in a bus from Kamaz in chassis form, a small four-wheeler, Binggo and a cargo truck...
