First Mexican Fleet * USA - receives permission to haul into US

Washington,DC,USA -Bloomberg -7 Sept 2007: -- Transportes Olympic of Apodaca, Mexico appears poised to be the first Mexican trucking company to operate within the US... It received approval yesterday to haul beyond a 25-mile border zone... It’s the first of 100 carriers that could receive permission to haul into the US, despite repeated attempts by lobby groups to derail the project... Meanwhile, the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration said Stagecoach Cartage of El Paso, Texas has received approval to haul into Mexico. The program will also allow up to 100 US fleets to operate beyond the Mexico border zone... Thirty-eight Mexican fleets have reportedly cleared safety audits, allowing them to haul into the US...
