Very few fuel distributors have jumped on the soy biodiesel bandwagon
Clermont,IN,USA -Hoosier Ag Today, by Gary Truitt -5 Sept 2007: -- CountryMark Coop has been a leader in the state in blending and retailing soy biodiesel, but they have had very little competition... To add some incentives, the Indiana Soybean Alliance has launched a grant program that will help pay for new blending facilities. With only four of the state’s fuel terminals currently offering biodiesel, ISA’s Biofuels Director Mark Walters said Indiana’s soybean farmers want to help terminals convert their current facilities so they are able to blend soy biodiesel... Having a reliable supply is one concern truckers have had about soy biodiesel and consistent quality is another. Walters says the industry has answered both those issues and he hopes more and more trucks will start running on a soy biodiesel blend...
