But account for over 33% of motorists killed... National Highway Traffic Safety Administration issues rating on all vehicles. 5-star rating for under 10% rollover risk, 4-star for 11-20%, 3-star for 21-30%... Anti-rollover technology has reduced risk in SUVs equipped vs predecessors. Automatically applies brakes to individual wheels when vehicle skids to help steady the vehicle. 86% of MY07 SUVs have stability control as standard equipment, up from 43% in MY05... 78 (50%+) MY07 SUVs received 4-star ratings in rollover tests... Electronic stability control required in all new vehicles by MY2012...

The state has rolled out 27 SAFE Patrol trucks, all equipped to take care of highway emergencies... They will patrol all of the state's interstates and parkways... Officials say the trucks can handle anything from a stalled car to a major accident...
