MSIC - Australia - Deadline looms for trucking industry
Australia -Supply Chain Review -11 August 2006: -- Maritime workers — including truck delivery drivers — now have 10 days to apply for a maritime security identification card (MSIC) before facing penalties... The Federal Government has signed off on new regulations mandating an ‘apply by’ date of August 21 for the country’s major ports, including Brisbane, Sydney, Melbourne, Adelaide and Fremantle... The trucking industry has been critical of the enforced date, but associations are urging drivers to apply to meet the deadline...
