* Tripartite dialogue on Nlex load limit gains breakthrough
LA TRINIDAD,Philippines -Sun.Star -August 02, 2006: -- The multisectoral dialogue on the load limit imposed by the management of the Manila North Tollways Corporation (MNTC) at the North Luzon Expressway (Nlex) held here gained a major breakthrough, especially on the request of the Benguet Vegetable Traders and Truckers Association (BVTTA) Inc. for the government to provide weighing scales at the trading post to be used in the trial weighing of trucks before leaving for Metro Manila and other lowland areas...


* City not ready for night market:
Philippines -Sun.Star, by Lory Ann B. Bilbao -August 03, 2006: -- "The city is not yet prepared for a night market," said Night Market proponent Councilor Jed Patrick Mabilog Wednesday during the City Council's regular session... Launched in May this year, the Night Market aims to keep alive the city's economic activities from 6 p.m. to 12 midnight through the active participation of night vendors... It did operate until this month, but with only few vendors...
