One million more of the big rigs are expected to ply the nation's highways by 2016, up from 2.7 million operating today, reports the American Trucking Associations... The trucking industry says the number of big rigs on the road will increase for two reasons: People are buying more of everything from clothes to computers, and the United States is increasing trade with foreign nations... Here are some statistics that illustrate those trends:...
