* Denmark - TNT now considers sale of forwarding business
The Hague,Denmark -Transport Intelligence -1 August 2006: -- Dutch based mail, express and logistics group TNT has released 2nd Quarter results showing a company in reasonable shape. Overall revenue was up 5.8% and operating income grew by 10.7% at €342m, but TNT’s legacy problems with tax, interest payments and the cost of discontinued operations have depressed profits. After tax and exceptional items, profits are €1 million less than those of the last quarter, at €209m. TNT Group’s net debt has also increased as a result of a share buy-back last year...

* UK - Union urges strike over transfer to DHL Exel
