New Tax - USA - Trucking lobby supports continued diesel tax
LITTLE ROCK,ARK,USA -kfsm -20 Sept 2005 :-( Governor Huckabee's proposal to continue a highway improvement program has the support of the major state lobby for the trucking industry... The proposal, to be voted on December 13th, would continue a four-cent tax on diesel fuel. The Arkansas Trucking Association says it backs an extension of the tax since the money will be used to maintain and improve state highways... Association president Lane Kidd says the group would not support a new tax but says continuing the current tax would be good policy...
