Production - China - Shanghai Automotive Launches First Car of Acquired Ssangyong
SHANGHAI,China -Asia Pulse -Sept 16 2005 :-) South Korea's Ssangyong Motor, which has been acquired by Chinese automaker Shanghai Automotive Industry Co., Ltd., held a ceremony here on September 15 for the launch of its new car Rodius in the Chinese market... This marks the entry of the first Ssangyong brand car into the Chinese market after Ssangyong Motor was acquired by Shanghai Automotive, who acquired a 48.92 per cent stake in Ssangyong in October last year to become the largest shareholder, and further expanded its interest to 50.91 per cent in June this year...
