Troubles - Japan - Protests China's gas development
TOKYO,Japan -UPI/Mainichi Shimbun -Sept 20, 2005 :-/ Japan has confirmed seeing a flame burning in a gas field developed by China near disputed waters in the East China Sea, an official said... Economy, Trade and Industry Minister Shoichi Nakagawa said the Japanese government would ask China to begin discussions over development of the field, which Japan claims is near the median line that separates Japanese and Chinese exclusive economic zones, reported... The Japanese government lodged a protest when it learned that China planned to begin supplying gas from another field in the area...
