* Queensland - Dannielle is now the face of Hastings’ apprenticeship intake
-- It was four-and-a-half years ago when Dannielle Weston entered the Hastings Deering apprenticeship program to become a diesel fitter and after finishing the course and becoming qualified six months ago... Before her diesel fitting days, Dannielle worked in a bar and before that she was a bank teller, but she always wanted to go into diesel fitting and after having her son Tyler, she decided she would "go for it"... After starting her career with Hastings Deering as a trade's assistant, it took Dannielle only six months before she applied for an apprenticeship and was successful... Dannielle is now the face of Hastings' apprenticeship intake for this year and applications are now open... The company is accepting and reviewing applications, from both male and female apprentices from a variety of different career backgrounds... Dannielle said while the apprenticeship was challenging, it was "definitely" worth it. "Learn as much as you can, while you can," she said... As part of the apprenticeship Dannielle said she spent eight weeks at TAFE (the largest vocational education and training provider in Australia), each year for three years...
