* DC - EPA gives OK to propane autogas system for Ford 2014 trucks
Washington,DC,USA -Fleet Owner -Aug. 13, 2013: -- The Environmental Protection Agency has certified the Icom North America JTG II propane liquid injection system for installation in model-year 2014 Ford truck platforms with the 6.8L Ford engine... Icom is offering both monofuel and bifuel options for all Ford E-and F-series platforms, from 14,000 to 33,000 lb. gross vehicle weight rating, from 2009 to 2014. This includes commercial and consumer vehicles... According to Icom, vehicles fueled by propane autogas produce up to 25% less greenhouse gases, 20% less nitrogen oxide, and up to 60% less carbon monoxide emissions than those powered by gasoline at an average cost of 30 to 50% less than gasoline and nearly 50% less than diesel...
