* Sweden - Volvo Trucks Introduces New FH Series

Gothenburg,Sweden -Dow Jones Newswires/Fox Business, by Christina Zander -August 22, 2012: -- Swedish truck maker Volvo AB said Wednesday its Volvo Truck unit will introduce a new versions of the Volvo FH and Volvo FH16, will be launched on Sept. 5. The company said the new Volvo FH series comes a new individual front suspension system for heavy trucks with left-hand drive. Individual front suspension means that each front wheel is suspended separately from the other so it doesn't affect the movement of the other wheel. The official launch of the Volvo FH Series will be held in Gothenburg, Sweden...
* Japan - Isuzu to build commercial pickup plant in China

Dayly/Automotive News China -21 Aug 2012: -- Japanese truckmaker Isuzu Motors Ltd. plans to build a plant in the southeast China city of Nanchang to produce as many as 100,000 pickups a year... Isuzu's joint venture with Jiangling Motors Corp. will manage the project, which will cost $128 million (811 million yuan)... Isuzu will buy truck engines from its other Chinese partner, commercial truckmaker Qingling Motors Group... Isuzu has produced commercial vehicles in China since 1985. Recently, it has taken steps to improve operations...
* India - Japan's Isuzu scouts for Rs 1,000-cr investment site
Chennai,India -The Business Standard -Aug 23, 2012: -- Japanese truck maker Isuzu Motors Ltd is planning to invest around Rs 1,000 crore to set up a 150,000-unit-per-annum manufacturing facility either in Tamil Nadu or in Andhra Pradesh... The new facility will cater to both domestic and international markets and strengthen company's overall business structure, they said... Prospects for Tamil Nadu is high due to the state’s strong supplier base. Several other foreign vehicles makers including Daimler AG, Nissan Motor Co Ltd and Hyundai Motor Co have manufacturing facilities in the state...
* Czech Republic - U.S. chief of Czech truckmaker faces bribery charges
Prague,CR -Reuters -Aug 21 2012: -- Czech police have arrested the American boss of truckmaker Tatra on charges of bribery, a company spokesman said on Tuesday, the latest step in an anti-corruption drive which has seen several ministers and senior government officials facing charges... However, a court ruled later on Tuesday that Ronald Adams, who has run privately-owned Tatra since 2006 as chairman, would not be taken into custody as requested by the police who have charged him with offering a bribe to win army contracts, Tatra spokesman Vladimir Bystrov said...
