Mountain View,CAL,USA -ABR -23 July 2012: -- The production of hybrid and electric medium-heavy truck and buses is expected to reach 45,000 in Europe, Middle East and Africa (EMEA) region by 2020, according to a new report... Frost and Sullivan's new report "Strategic Analysis of the Medium to Heavy duty Hybrid and Electric Commercial Vehicle Market in EMEA Region" revealed that Europe will be the most competitive market for hybrid and electric medium-heavy trucks and buses, worldwide... The transit bus segment in Europe will experience increase of competitors, both on the OEM and supplier side, the report said... In the interim, parallel hybrids are set to be over half of all commercially produced medium-heavy hybrid and electric commercial vehicles, which further requires the development of new economical products, technologies and supply chains for these vehicles... According to the report, currently, OEMs and suppliers are working through a combination of vertical and virtual integration, to assist the growth momentum in this quick developing market...
