The industry produced 1,700,675 vehicles in June 2012 as against 1,597,082 in June 2011... The overall growth in domestic sales during April-June 2012 was 9.94 percent over same period last year. In April-June 2011 the growth rate was 15.14 percent... Passenger Vehicles segment grew at 9.71 percent during April-June 2012 over same period last year. Passenger Cars grew by 5.22 percent, Utility Vehicles grew by 50.85 percent and Vans grew by (-9.60) percent during April-June 2012 as compared to same period last year...
* Russia - The year continues strong for new cars and Light Commercial Vehicles
Moscow,Russia -AEBRUS (PR) -9 July 2012: -- Sales of new passenger cars and LCVs in Russia increased by 10% in june 2012. Among the top ten bestselling models so far, ten models are locally produced... According to the AEB Automovile Manufacturers Committee, June 2012 saw the sales of new cars and light commercial vehicles in Russia increase by 10% in comparison to the same period in 2011. This june 272.125 units were sold, this is 25.277 units more than in June 2011... Joerg Schreiber, Acting Chairman of the AEB Automobile Manufacturars Committee commented, "the Russian Market for passenger and light commercial vehicles reached the best result in a single month since July 2008, also reached a new 4 years high".. From January to June 2012, the percentage sales of new cars and light commercial vehicles in Russia increased by 14% in comparison to the same period in 2011, or by 177.383 more sold units... "At the same time, we continue to observe a slow-down in the pace of growth, year on year as well as compared to preceding months", aded Mr. Schreiber...
* Turkey - Slowdown signs, motor vehicle sales down by 19pct in H1
Ankara,Turkey -Steel Guru -17 Jul 2012: -- According to the Turkish Automotive Manufacturers Association, in the first six months of the current year motor vehicle sales in Turkey totaled 359,618 units falling by 19.4% as compared to the corresponding period of the previous year. In June alone, motor vehicle sales fell 12.9% compared to the same month of 2011 totaling 74,781 units... In the first 6 months of this year, passenger car sales amounted to 244,490 units falling by 15.6% YoY... In the given period, Turkey's motor vehicle exports came to 393,552 units falling by 5.7% YoY while its passenger car exports amounted to 221,579 units falling by 4.5% compared to the same period last year. The revenue for these export sales reached USD 9.02 billion for total motor vehicle and component exports falling 4% while the revenue of passenger car exports totaled USD 3.24 billion falling by 3.7% both compared to the corresponding period of 2011... In the first 6 months of 2012, Turkey's passenger car imports fell by 12.8% YoY totaling 174,496 units. In the given period, Turkey's motor vehicle imports totaled 221,026 units falling by 17% YoY...
