* Oregon - Spot market freight index sets new record for month of June 

Portland,ORE,USA -Truck News (CAN) -Jul 13, 2012: -- TransCore’s North American Freight Index has set a new record for the month of June... Year-over-year, the spot market freight index was up 6.3% over last June. However, TransCore reports freight volume slipped 2% compared to May 2012... The DAT North American Freight Index reflects spot market freight availability on TransCore’s network of load boards in the US and Canada... The company reports truckload freight rates on the spot market increased in June for the three major trailer types. Van rates were up 4.4% over May, flatdeck rates climbed 3.4% and reefer rates rose 3.5%. Rate increases do not include fuel surcharges...


* Canada - Spot market freight index down m-o-m, y-o-y in June 

Toronto,ONT,CAN -Truck News -Jul 18, 2012: -- Canadian spot market freight saw its second best month of 2012 in June, but was down both month-over-month and year-over-year, according to the latest data from TransCore... TransCore’s Canadian spot market freight index was down 2% compared to this May and 6% lower than June 2011. The second quarter of 2012 saw a 20% gain over the first quarter of this year and was 6% below Q2 2011. Cross-border postings increased slightly in June, according to TransCore, accounting for 75% of all load postings. Equipment postings declined by 7% month-over-month and were up 5% year-over-year in June...
