* UK - Transportation and Logistics: Poor job prospects 

London,EN,UK -Truck and Business, by Michael Buckinx -13 June 2012: -- Manpower as the barometer for the third quarter of 2012, employment prospects are negative in the transportation and logistics. Hiring intentions on the part of employers are the most pessimistic since the third quarter of 2009. Only 4% of employers plan to create new jobs by the end of September. Employers report that they still have difficulty finding qualified staff...  


* Germany - Hoyer shows a group turnover of over one billion euros

Hamburg,Germany  -Truck and Business, by Hendrik Despiegelaere -18 June 2012:  --  The Hamburg-Hoyer, specialist transport and logistics, achieved in 2011 a turnover of more than one billion euros. 2011 and is the most successful year in company history that has existed for 60 years. The precise turnover reached 1.035 billion euros. Growth areas were chemistry (+8%) and the logistics of liquid food products (7%). Growth was also influenced by activities in Eastern Europe and Central with new offices in St. Petersburg, Moscow, Odessa and Ukraine. The group now has 5,200 employees in over 80 countries. Hoyer has a fleet of 2,500 trucks, 3,100 tracked vehicles, 20,000 and 27,000 IBC tank containers...

* Belgium - 22 waste collection vehicles Econic for SITA

Brussels,Belgium -Truck and Business, by Michael Buckinx -13 June 2012: -- SITA has expanded its fleet by incorporating 22 Mercedes-Benz Econic with a superstructure of compression for waste collection. The Econic are type 2629 6x2. SITA has opted to Econic because of its concept of low-floor cab with excellent visibility, enhanced by additional mirrors and a camera system...  Two of these vehicles were also equipped with a VDK Bosch Rexroth HRB system that stores braking energy and releases it during acceleration. Both hybrids are tested and expected to generate fuel savings up to 29%, by collecting door to door with cycles stop / start short...  SITA has 2066 employees in Belgium for a turnover of 478 million euros. The group has a fleet of over 1,000 vehicles and has 52 locations in our country for the collection and waste treatment. In 2011, 2.8 million tonnes of waste were treated with 83% recycled...
