* France - Smart EV: New options for fleets
Hambach,France -Fleet Europe, by Tim Harrup -18 June 2012: -- Smart is making a major new move forwards in terms of urban mobility, with three electric products. These are the smartfortwo electric drive car, the smart e-bike and (yet to come) the smart e-scooter... The car has a range of 145 km and can be fully charged in six or seven hours (overnight or at the office for example), with a quick one hour charge also available... Along with the vehicle itself, smart is offering a ‘sale and care’ package which in particular means that the battery is leased (for 65 Euros per month) and is therefore always the responsibility of smart, who will replace it if necessary... Alongside the production car, the ‘Vision’ gives a glimpse of potential technological features for the future, including roof-mounted solar panels…
