* New York - GM plant in Buffalo celebrates Ecotec engines launch

Buffalo,NY,USA -The Detroit News, by Melissa Burden -June 22, 2012: -- General Motors Co.'s Tonawanda Engine Plant in Buffalo, N.Y., on Friday celebrated the production launch of two new Ecotec four-cylinder engines that will power the redesigned 2013 Chevrolet Malibu and new 2013 Cadillac ATS, GM's entry into the compact luxury segment... The plant is building GM's all-new 2.5-liter and 2-liter turbo engines for the vehicles that go on sale this summer and showcased its technology and new manufacturing flexibility to change from one product to another during an event...

Detroit,MICH,USA -Fleet Owner, by Brian Straight -Jun. 22, 2012: -- Detroit officials hosted a media event this week at its 3.2-million-sq.-ft. facility in Detroit, outlining the company’s path to greenhouse gas 2014 (GHG14) engine compliance and changes made to the new DD15 engine that will be the primary powerplant for Daimler Trucks North America’s (DTNA) Freightliner Cascadia Evolution tractor... The new DD15 will be exclusively matched to the new Cascadia Evolution, company part of Daimler Trucks North America (DTNA)... The engine features an asymmetric turbocharger with a next-generation amplified common rail system for improved performance and fuel economy...
* Romania - Ford Starts Volume Vehicle Production in Romania, New Ford B-MAX

Craiova,Romania -Media Ford (USA) -June 25, 2012: -- Ford Motor Company today started volume vehicle production at its new world class manufacturing facility in Craiova, Romania... Ford is investing more than €675 million (about $875 million) in engine and vehicle production in Romania... The first car to be built at Craiova is the Ford B-MAX, the innovative new B-segment multi-activity vehicle, which will be manufactured exclusively in the Romanian plant. The Ford B-MAX features best-in-class 1.5-metre unobstructed access to the cabin with the central body pillar uniquely integrated into the hinged front doors and sliding rear doors...
