Boucherville,QBC,Canada -TM4 (PR) -February 8, 2012: -- TM4, a subsidiary of Hydro-Quebec, and Prestolite Electric Beijing Limited (PEBL), have entered into an agreement for the creation of a sino-foreign equity joint venture company named Prestolite E-Propulsion Systems (Beijing) Limited (PEPS). Leveraging TM4’s licensed technologies, the new company will focus on providing high-end solutions for clean transport and sustainable mobility by developing, manufacturing, selling and supporting electric traction systems for trucks and buses, as well as commercial, off-road and marine vehicles. The new joint venture will target clients in the People’s Republic of China, Taiwan, Hong Kong, Macao, Indonesia, Philippines, Thailand, Singapore and the rest of ASEAN countries...

Vancouver,BC,USA -Canadian Manufacturing -February 7, 2012: -- Ballard Power Systems has signed a non-binding deal with WEG Industries of Brazil to develop the market for clean energy fuel cell products in the South American country. The companies said in a joint release late Tuesday they will work together to expand into new clean fuel sectors in Brazil from transportation to mining... WEG Industries has 24,000 employees and makes electric motors, generators, transformers, drives and coatings around the world... The deal comes two months after Ballard announced the sale of 25 hydrogen fuel cell modules to power buses in Sao Paulo, Brazil’s largest city...
