* France - Michelin lifts profit goal on mining tyres boost

Clermont-Ferrand,France -Reuters, by Laurence Frost -Feb 10, 2012: -- Michelin SCA, the world's No.2 tyremaker, raised its 2015 profit goal by a quarter, encouraged by demand from European and U.S. truckmakers, strong pricing and growth in outsize tyres for the mining industry...  Sales to truck manufacturers jumped 56 percent in North America and 35 percent in Europe last year. Demand from U.S. vehicle makers remained buoyant in the fourth quarter, with gains of 22 percent gain in car tyre sales and 49 percent in heavy trucks... Furthermore, local media reports have speculated that Michelin North America is eyeing at least one new plant investment in Anderson County, South Carolina...

Hanover,Germany -Continental (PR) -February 2011: -- For the second time, Continental has been cited with the “Yellow Angel” ADAC mobility price. The “E-booster” high-performance technology for start-stop system earned the international automotive supplier a third prize in the “Innovation and Environment” category...  Awarded for the eighth time this year, the “Yellow Angel” is regarded as one of the most important citations in the automotive branch. Continental obtained this prize already back in 2009. The citation back then honored advanced development work on the lithium-ion battery...
