Atlanta,GA,USA -Commercial Motor (UK), by Laurie Dealer -12 January 2012:  -- Stats on the rolling stock at Manheim Remarketing provide further evidence of the cause and effect supply has had on the sector in the past year...  The age of a used van up for sale at Manheim Remarketing might be 18% older and it might have 17% more miles on the clock than 12 months ago, but its value has remained more or less identical...  Manheim Remarketing reports that in spite of average age being up nine months to 59 and average mileage up 11,889 miles to 82,445, used van prices only fell 1.3% through 2011, or £54, to £4,013...  The lowest used van value in May 2011, £3,841, was topped by a stonking hike of £315 to the years highest of £4,156 in June. Since then prices rose gradually to November (£4,063) before settling at £4,013... Average age, however, went from 50 months in December 2010 to top 60 months in November 2011, before falling back to 59 at year end. Average mileage rose 11,889 miles through the year to reach 82,445 by the end of the year...
