TRUCK SALES * USA - Orders Surged Ahead in October

More than 18,000 trucks ordered in North America

Cassidy -Nov 3, 2010: -- Net orders for heavy trucks surged in October, climbing 22 percent in the third straight month-to-month increase, according to FTR Associates... Total orders hit 18,386 units, according to preliminary data. The figure includes orders from the U.S., Canada and Mexico, as well as North American exports... Eric Starks, FTR president, expects Class 8 orders to climb close to 20,000 in November and perhaps be limited by "disappointing October freight demand" ... * UPS orders 475 Mack Pinnacle trucks

Macungie,PA.,USA -Fleet Owner -Nov 4, 2010: -- UPS has placed an order for 475 Mack Pinnacle trucks with MP engines, Mack Trucks has announced... Production will start early this month at Mack’s Macungie Assembly Operations plant. The trucks will be delivered before the end of the year, Mack said... The Pinnacle Series is available in axle back or axle forward configurations and is powered by the Mack MP engine, which features the OEM’s ClearTech selective catalytic reduction (SCR) technology.
